Next.

Windows are expected next week. Then the bricking can begin. The electrical rough-in is complete, as well as the plumbing. The HVAC should be finished soon. Probably would have been done by now except no one has ever installed the Vent-a-Hood Brent has selected and there are a million questions. We have fireplaces and new face boards on the whole house (those are the boards under the roof). Insulation is scheduled for the 23rd and drywall after that.

Each day there are a million annoying little questions or problems, but that's because we have very specific instructions for everything. The poor men that have to deal with us!!! I'm sure we're good talk around the water cooler.

The architect came back to town to "fix" the lighting issue in the kitchen. Some of the lights were in the way of the ceiling beams ("decorative" beams). Apparently my suggestion that ALL the subs on the job get together to discuss the impact of every other sub's job was thought to be silly. Well, case in point, the copper water lines were in the way of the light placement in one room and in the shower, the exhaust fan was in the way of the rain head. Hhuumm, maybe it would have be inconvenient, but I bet it would've saved a lot of extra work moving light fixtures, PVC pipes, ceiling joists, plugs, switches, air vents/returns, thermostats and bath fixtures. ; )
