Happy number 7! who can believe he's that old now?

Most of you know we are not into having big, over the top parties for birthdays. We feel like our birthdays are best shared with our family. Besides, we're a good size party in ourselves. But this year we let Bennett invite some friends from school over for a party. Seven 7 yr old boys played with Legos and Star Wars and Nerf guns in the basement (well, the Nerf guns were all over the house). They had a nice time and then we opened gifts and had cake and ice cream.

Then it was our traditional family birthday time. Bennett picked where he wanted to go for dinner, then we came home for more cake, ice cream, and presents. He got several new Lego sets and was in heaven trying to put them all together in one evening.
