Last week we were allowed the great honor of hosting the rehearsal dinner for this happy couple.
This is Daniel and Brittany. He is the son of our minister but we only recently "got to know" him and his fiance as he was away at college when we moved to town. But after he met Brittany, we started seeing them out in the same places - mostly Target. Yes, we explained that young energetic dating couples should not be found in Target where us old married folk frequent on Date Night. Nevertheless we continued to see them in different places.
Then he proposed and she accepted.
And somehow after that I did my typical thing saying that if the reception locations were proving to be difficult, we'd be happy to have that here. But we realize an outdoor venue is not always the best answer. So, a little while later, talk moved to rehearsal dinner as we also call Daniel's parents our friends.
The evening was beautiful! There were so many people who helped that truly all we did was get the windows washed and clean the house a little. In my opinion the event went off without a hitch - ran like a well oiled machine - I'm out of cliches...
Emma took our pictures and yes, we allowed her onto the roof.
Our friends and parents of the Groom - Arnis and Connie with their family.
