Proud Parents

We are now the proud parents of 4 slabs of white carrera marble. These slabs are for the kitchen only; the bathroom slabs will be 2 cm instead of 3cm and will come from another supplier. Placing these beautiful works of art onto our island is going to be something to witness - the island is 8x8 and therefore needs more than one slab. So making the cuts to get the veins, etc. somewhat lined up is going to be interesting. Who'd a thought all that algebra/geometry would really be useful outside of school! Glad I'm not the one figuring it all out! At least I know the company installing the marble believes in the old addage, "measure twice, cut once," since you don't just go get another slab if you make a mistake. : )
