let there be light

The only lights we selected during our building process were recessed can lights and undercabinet lighting. The local lighting store seemed ages behind in the decorative lighting area. So, we have been working through rooms and picking lights as we go. Luckily we didn't need too many because we loved the ones we'd previously put in the house. Some of those got new homes (like the old kitchen lights becoming the new upstairs foyer lights), but we didn't have to shop for anything. We just ordered lights for 6 rooms and Brent spent the weekend hanging them.

Where else does one hang such a chandelier except in a girlie closet? LOL- it gives all my clothes a pink hue!
the master bedroom. This one took some compromise and searching, but once this particular chandelier was seen, we knew it was perfect. We seem to be adding a few "modern" touches in our room with this light and those mirrored bedside tables - very 1950's chic in my opinion.

Friends' Entrance. Brent has wanted one of these for a while, so this was the perfect place. I think he said he remembers this Moravian Star from visiting his aunt, uncle and cousins in NC when he was younger.

Ah, the powder room. In addition to this beaded chandelier, our enormous mirror has come back from the framers. $20 mirror from Marshalls + 50% off custom frame = can't beat with a stick!
