Trimmin' the fat

Last week our date night was our budget meeting. Our builder had his minibar open in an attempt to minimize the shock. Since then we've been looking at ways to trim the budget. One way seems to be going with option 2 for our kitchen appliances. Brent is lovingly considering giving up his "Ferarri" kitchen for a nice "BMW" kitchen. Then today we went to look at tile for flooring. Budget Buster! but it will look fabulous! OK, only the floor in the master bath is a budget buster, and really it's only the apprx 5x7 inset on the master bath floor that's the real kicker to the budget. Our builder's gonna freak! But it's gonna be beautiful -- a basket weave pattern with a black border to mimic a rug on the floor. Very cool. Well, it's date night again and we're going to have a couple of nice hours out of the chaos that is currently our home. Later.
