Just in case any of you are checking the blog for our progress so you know when to schedule a visit, I don't want to disappoint. Still no "guest room" per say, but come anyway, we'll make due.
After a few runs to the hardware store and the local home improvement stores this week (yes, that's how we spent date nite again this past week), Brent had lots of things he could get complete. And the list goes:
hardware on the cubbies and cabinet installed
DW panels on and handles attached (this, of course, involved much more than sticking the panel to the front of the dw. each dw had to be adjusted for height before anything else could be done.)
towel ring, towel bar, knob and latch closer-thingie installed in Em's bath
towel ring and tp holder installed pwd rm
towel ring and towel bar installed VayVay's bath
knobs and pulls for bev cntr ordered (had to be order via ph for coupon -- that takes a lot longer than online)
knobs on pwd rm vanity installed *
elec. covers installed on cabinets in LR and dressing area for hidden plugs--we have awesome cabinetry bc the smell of burning lumber still lingers from his drilling
island pendants installed
hall lights installed
cable hooked up
enormously heavy tv (no, we haven't gone flat panel) put in bdrm armoire (and yes, this counts as an item bc that tv takes 2 men and me to get into the cabinet)
furniture moved from basement to playroom
about 5 more boxes emptied*
most of these things were done today, but a couple were during the week while he a few days off. Mostly those off days were spent shopping -- and I mean shopping, not buying, for the most part, for the items we still need.
