Recent weather

Well, it must be spring because we've already had our river flooding event. Now, this flooding is not like last year's May floods in TN, it's just the regular river over flood stage. It was cool last Thursday to drive to school (on River Road) and see the river right by the road instead of below street level several feet. On the return trip home I noticed that the park right by our street light was now part of the river. By Thursday afternoon, the bottom of our street was closed. On Friday, the bottom carpool lanes at the school were closed -- from the overflow of the swamp and the creek, not because the river had come across the road and up that far. Here we are one week later and our road and the bottom carpool lane have finally reopened.
I'll try to get pictures of the trash line that shows how high the water came.
